Cellular Antenna Mounts

Mounting an antenna can sometimes be a challenge. Many times antenna mounting is the toughest part of an installation. The best place to install a cellular antenna is the side of the building that gets the best signal. If you are mounting a directional antenna, for use with a booster system, point it away from the building. Don't direct it across the building increasing the chance of oscillation. On buildings, the best option is usually a pole mount. Attach the pole up high to the side of the building then your antenna to the pole. Magnetic mounts are the most versatile. They usually work best in vehicles that usually have a metal surface that the magnet can adhere too. Magnetic mounts can be used in home or office. Place the antenna on a metal surface that provides a ground plane to bounce the signal. Consider a filing cabinet, cookie sheet, or another metal surface.
