Wilson AWS 70 Cellular Repeater System
Wilson Electronics AWS 70 is one of the most technologically advanced cellular amplifiers on the market today. It's most important feature is patented oscillation shutdown protection, which activates complete shutdown within just a few milliseconds to prevent harmful interference to cell sites. Wilson Electronics AWS 70 signal boosters also offer completely adjustable software-controlled automatic gain control, both on forward and reverse links, which allows the amplifiers to meet AWS 1700MHz & 2100MHz requirements. The amplifiers can follow base station power requests which allows maintaining the full power dynamic range of the cell phone.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Wilson AWS 70 signal booster is made for the newer AWS 1.7GHz and 2.1GHz frequencies used by T-Mobile in some areas. Outside Signal Strength Requirements
The Wilson AWS 70 signal booster has been very effective in areas with a weak signal inside a building and a strong signal outside the building where the outside antenna is mounted. A fairly good signal is required outside the building to get optimum coverage area. The Wilson AWS 70 delivers gain that can be adjusted. The adjustable range is up to 70db frequencies. The gain can be adjusted in 5db increments. Adjustable gain amplifiers make installation easier with more flexibility. If there either frequency range is stronger than then other causing oscillation, you can adjust the gain without having to purchase a different amplifier.

Antenna Separation Requirements (Important)
The Wilson AWS 70 system requires at least 50 ft of separation between the inside and outside antennas.
Choosing an Outside Building Antenna
An Omni-Directional antenna (Building Mount, Trucker) works best to capture signal from multiple providers in different directions.
Use a Directional Antenna (Panel or Wide Band) when you have a weak outside signal and your are trying to capture a signal from a particular tower or set of towers in one direction.
Wilson Panel Antenna
The Wilson Panel antenna is typically used as an indoor antenna and is wall mounted but can be ceiling mounted on higher ceilings (10ft or higher). They work well across longer, more narrow areas. Since they typically reach further, they are the prefered inside antenna. The Panel antenna radiates 70 degrees for a more focused beam to reach longer distances.

Wilson Dome Antenna
The Wilson Dome Antenna is typically ceiling mounted. The Dome antenna radiates 360 degrees from ceiling down for a wider reach. They are the preferred antenna for lower ceilings to cover a wider antenna than a Panel antenna. The Vertical Polorized Dome antenna radiates from the ceiling downward. Use to get the farthest reach downward. The Dual Polorized Dome antenna radiates downward and slightly upwards. Use to radiates above a ceiling.

Wilson Wide Band Directional Antenna
Wilson Wide Band Directional Antenna covers 700-2500MHz frequencies. It is directional and performs best when pointed toward your cellular providers tower. If you are trying to boost the signal from one service provider tower, this is the preferred antenna. If you trying to cover multiple service providers and their towers are in different locations, consider the Building Mount Omni Directional Antenna.

Wilson 400 cable is recommended for repeater type system as it is a very low loss cable. RG-58 cable will work fine for shorter runs (less than 30 feet recommended).
Connectors: Match connectors with antenna selected. Most building antennas come with N Female connectors. Wilson 400 cable comes with N Male connectors. The Wilson SOHO amplifier comes with FME Male connectors but also comes with adapter to convert the FME Male to N Female.
