C5 Press Release
June 20, 2005—C5, a leading manufacturer and distributor of wireless accessories, announced today that it has partnered with the Dallas-based Susan G. Komen Foundation in launching it's line up of affinity cell phone cases aimed at increasing breast cancer awareness.
"A key to our success at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is that we collaborate with a variety of organizations to provide creative ways for people to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer," said Cindy Schneible, vice president of cause-related marketing and sponsorship at the Komen Foundation. "We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with C5, Inc. to increase breast cancer awareness and allow cell phone users nationwide to make a valuable contribution to breast cancer research and outreach programs."
The program is the culmination of a 3-month planning and development project which combines the attraction of an 'affinity' case with information regarding risk factors, early detection, self-examination, as well as treatment avenues. The cases are currently for sale through various cellular retailers across the United States.
"We are honored to partner with an organization that carries such a highly regarded reputation," said Stew Carson, C5's National Sales and Marketing Manager. "As a company we were looking for a way to give back to the community and are wildly excited about the prospects of helping to advance such an important cause in partnership with the Komen Foundation".
C5 will be donating a portion of it's wholesale proceeds from sales of the cases to the Komen Foundation, with a minimum target donation of $10,000.
