A friend of mine bought a new Verizon LG VL600 3G/4G modem. Verizon does not have 4G here yet and I understand that this amp will not handle the frequency that the 4G will be available on. That aside, we wanted it to work on the 3G that they have in this area at this time.

My friend lives in the hills in Colorado and he's surrounded by ridges. We could get a 3G signal at his house, but it faded from nothing to 2 bars and back. We could never hold a connection long enough to surf the web.

I connected this Wilson setup to his modem and our signal went to 4 bars and stayed there solid for the 25 minutes that I tested it today. If it continues to perform like that, my friend can get rid of his satellite internet system and he'll be very pleased. (Posted on 4/22/11)
