Product Description
Motorola i500,i555, i600 External Antenna Adapter with TNC Female Connector
Use this Motorola i500,i555, i600 external antenna adapter to attach an external cellular antenna directly to your RF port. The adapter consists of a 18 to 20 inch cable with a connector crimped to each end. One end connects to the RF port on the back, side or top of your device. The other connector end attaches to your cellular antenna cable connector. Attaching an antenna directly to your device can improve cellular signal reception by changing the radiation pattern (or gain) of your device. An external antenna also allows you to move the antenna to where the signal is better such as out side a car or building window. With cell phones, getting the antenna away from your head can also better your signal as your head can block signal. Requires external cellular antenna not included.

WARNING
-----------------
To purchase this product, you must read this warning and agree to purchase and use this product at your own risk. Although it's rare, using this external antenna adapter can damage your device and void it's warranty.
When an external antenna adapter is inserted into the port on your mobile device, your device's antenna is disconnected so that your device can receive signal through an external antenna. When you remove the adapter, your device's antenna should reconnect. If removing the adapter does not reconnect your device's on board antenna, your device will show a weak or no signal and no service. This means that the switch that connects and reconnects the adapter is damaged or stuck. This rarely happens but it can. Sometimes your device can be repaired at a repair center but many times at a cost greater than its value. We have sold thousands of external antenna adapters for different devices including cell phones and mobile broadband modems. Only a small minority of these antenna adapters have caused some devices to stop working. Despite the adapter manufacturer's testing, some devices may have weak ports and be damaged using this product. Damage may also be caused by pushing adapters in too far, twisting the connector when inserting or removing and by pulling on the adapter cable. Because of this, we do not recommend using this adapter with your device. If you do purchase this antenna adapter, you agree to use it at your own risk.
Safer Signal Booster Alternatives - As an alternative, we recommend a powered signal booster that does not require a connection through your devices RF port. These signal boosters will perform better than just an antenna directly connected to your device without the risk of plugging in an antenna adapter.
- Wilson Sleek Signal Booster - A signal booster built into a phone cradle.
- Wilson SignalBoost Universal - Uses a passive adapter to pass an amplified signal through your devices case.
- Wilson Mobile Wireless Signal Booster - Similar to the Wilson SignalBoost Universal but has more gain and can send a signal over several feet without any connection to your device. Area coverage is dependent on the outside signal strength.
