Our Shopping Cart and Cookies
AlternativeWireless.com uses cookies to temporarily keep track of the items in your shopping cart before you check out. Storing a session ID number within a cookie enables us to uniquely idendify your order and keep it seperate from other customer orders until your order is complete. Temporarily storing your session ID in this manner is used by the vast majority of e-commerce sites such as buy.com, compusa.com, motorola.com, cdw.com, eddibauer.com, and others.
What are cookies and why must I accept them on your site?
A cookie is a small piece of information (text file) that's sent to your browser - along with an HTML page - when you access many web sites including ours. When a cookie arrives at your browser, it generally is saved on your hard drive or in your computer's memory. When you return to our shopping cart after selecting more items, stored information is sent back to the site's web server, along with your request. A cookie is also a session "ID tag." It is uniquely yours and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It can not read any other part of your files, nor can it be used to send viruses.
Privacy and cookies
Your privacy is of the highest priority. We have worked hard to earn your trust and we will continue to do so. Read more information on your privacy.
What if I don't want to turn on cookies?
You can order one item fine without using cookies. If you need more than one item, please feel free to call us on our toll free number 888-399-4932. If you're outside the U.S., call us at 1-210-493-0023.
How do I enable cookies on my browser?
You can order your browser to accept all cookies or to alert you every time a cookie is offered. Then, your browser will allow you to decide whether to accept them automatically or ask you to grant permission in each instance.
