Wilson 1900MHz Yagi Antenna

Wilson 1900MHz Yagi Antennas are very effective at increasing your cell phone's signal strength in rural areas. The Yagi is a directional antenna and should be mounted above tree lines and pointed directly to your service providers nearest cell tower. It's a single band 1900MHz (1850 - 1990MHz) antenna.

The 4&centimeter (17inch) boom is the main part of the antenna and indudes 9 elements constructed of a single piece of 2-millimete(r14gauge) aluminum. The Wind Surface Area is less than 120 square centimeters (18.6 square inches). The design of the antenna exposes a small profile to wind and ice.

Coax Connector The output coaxial connector is an N-Female type and the feed system is a "T-Match" and is used for low signal loss and wide bandwidth. The antenna's impedance is 50 Ohms. Maximum power is 25 watts.

Pipe Mount The pipe mount hardware is included with the purchase of a Wilson Electronics 1900 MHz Yagi PCS Antenna. The pipe mount is adjustable to accommodate pipes with outside diameters up to 5 centimeters (2 inches).

Installing Yagi Antennas
Yagi antennas can be a challenge to install. They must be mounted on a mast, parallel to the ground and pointing at the nearest cell tower of your service provider. If you don't feel you have the technical skills to take on such a challenge, you might consider trying an omni directional antenna such as Wilson's Trucker Antenna or Magnetic Mount Antennas. They may provide you with the needed increase in reception with much easier installation. In most cases, these omni directional antennas can outperform the Yagi antenna because of their higher radiation pattern and shorter cable length.
