WiFi Antennas

Improve WiFi Reception - WiFi Antenna

Focus your wireless signal so the WiFi power is stronger where you need it.

Most antennas that come with WiFi products are low-gain, omnidirectional antennas. That means they send signal equally in all directions. Wouldn't it be nice to focus that wireless signal so it's stronger where you actually use it? Now it's easy with our wide selection of WiFi antennas.

We stock WiFi antennas for just about every need.

We carry WiFi antennas to improve wireless signal across your network or just focus in on specific room, office or other area.

High Gain Omnidirectional Antennas

If your current wireless router is in a central location and you would like to spread your signal equally in every direction, use an omnidirectional antenna. Omnidirectional wireless antennas look like a simple vertical rod, the most commonly seen type of antenna. A ZERO-gain omnidirectional antenna radiates equally in every direction, including North, South, East, West, UP and DOWN. This is also known as a "spherical" radiation pattern.

When an omnidirectional antenna has a non-zero gain (such as 3, 5, 7 or 9dBi), that means the signal is being focused more in the North - South - East - West directions and less in the up - down directions. This is beneficial because the signal usually needs to cover a large area, but doesn't need to travel very far into the sky or underground. Lower gain, omnidirectional antennas do a better job when you want to cover higher areas such as covering many floors of a narrow building or grabbing a signal on the other side of a hill or wall.

Directional Antennas

When your wireless router base station is on one end of the coverage area and you need signal in only one direction, you may opt for a directional antenna. Directional antennas radiate in the forward direction and, because of this more focused radiation, the wireless signal tends to travel further.

A lower-gain directional antenna is great for placing on broad side of a building because it will focus the signal toward the inside of the building, but still make it broad enough to cover all of that side.

A higher-gain directional is great for projecting through a long, narrow corridor, to a far away area or even from one building to another.
