The Wilson bi-directional cellular amplifier / repeater greatly improves signal strength inside a building. It does this without physical connection to your phone allowing you to walk around freely during a call. Its advanced electronics are very sensitive and able to receive small signals which would go undetected by most cellular phones. The signal is received by an outside antenna, amplified with the cell booster, then repeated to an inside antenna where it is picked up by your cell phone. The cellular amplifier / repeater is usually used in locations where your cellular signal is strong outside a building or vehicle but weak inside the building. It's used where the signal is being blocked by the building walls or roof. When installed properly, the SignalBoost DT will significantly reduce dropped calls and improve both voice and data signal quality.
Wilson SignalBoost DT Amplifier works by picking up a stronger signal from an antenna mounted on a pole or wall outside your building or high on a window inside your building, facing the cell site. The amplifier then increases the signal and transmits it through the onboard antenna on the amplifier to your cell phone or laptop data card.
The SignalBoost DT works with two antennas (included). The on board antenna communicates with your cell phone or laptop data card, and the cradle antenna communicates with the cell tower. The cradle antenna is designed for installation outside on a wall or a pole, or inside on a window or wall, depending on your preferred configuration
