Wilson Electronics has been a pioneer in the wireless communications industry for over 40 years. Jim Wilson, the president and founder of Wilson Electronics, and his staff of Electrical Engineers are committed to bringing you cellular phone products with the highest performance possible.
Wilson Electronics has been in the business of improving radio frequency (RF) signals for more than 40 years. The company’s very first products were commercial communications. For the past 10 years Wilson has exclusively designed and manufactured cell phone signal boosters and related components.
Wilson has sold more cellular signal boosters than any other manufacturer, with hundreds of thousands of satisfied users. The company continues to sell more units and greater dollar volume than any other in its market, outselling its nearest competitor by nearly a 3-to-1 margin.
Wilson also leads in technology. The company’s engineers have been awarded 10 U.S. patents related to the amplification of cellular signals, including three during 2010 alone. Wilson continues to bring cutting-edge signal booster products to market, and a full product development pipeline assures that the company will continue to do so.
The Problem: Dropped Calls
Everyone who uses a cell phone or data card knows how aggravating it is to drop a call or not be able to connect. Fortunately, Wilson Electronics has the solution! Our industry-leading cell phone signal boosters and antennas enable you to connect and maintain calls by improving your cellular signal at home, at work or on the go. Wilson Electronics keeps you connected!
Reasons for Dropped and Slow Mobile Wireless Data Rates
1. Location of the Nearest Cell Tower - Distance plays the biggest role in limiting cellular communications, especially in rural areas. The farther you are from a cell tower, the weaker your signal will be.
2. Natural and Man-Made Obstructions - Hills, trees, valleys and buildings all interfere with the quality of the cellular signal between your phone or data card and the cell tower. Stucco and concrete walls used in homes, offices and other buildings block cellular signals, making it difficult to receive a strong cellular signal. You may be relatively close to a cell tower but unable to connect because of obstructions.
For stranded motorists and emergency services personnel, the inability to make a cell phone call can mean the difference between life and death. For people who rely on their cell phone or data card for business, it can affect the outcome of important business decisions or relationships.
Press Quotes for Wilson Electronics
“No matter what carrier you’re on, you’ve likely encountered a cell phone dead zone. This is especially a burden while on the road if you’re lost in a rural area and have no way of calling for directions or accessing your GPS. Luckily, there’s a solution: The Wilson Sleek all-in-one cell phone signal booster. This handy gadget resembles a hands-free car cradle, but offers extended calling range and signal strength for your phone.” - Ginny Mies, PC World
“Every now and then you come across a product that promises to do things exceptionally well for a lower price than you would otherwise expect and… it actually exceeds your expectations. That’s the case with the Sleek cell phone booster for Wilson Electronics.” - Dan Cohen, Gear Diary
“Simply put, the Sleek works. And it works well. It can (and did) increase a cell phone’s received and transmitted signals by 10 to 20 times. That can mean the difference between a mediocre signal and a very strong signal, which means fewer dropped calls.” - John Gordon, Practical Travel Gear

Experience, Quality and Performance
While evaluating many of the cellular accessories currently manufactured around the world we found many good looking cellular accessories that fail to perform, particularly the cellular antennas. Our engineering team tested almost all mobile cellular dual-band (800/1900 MHz) antennas manufactured in Asia and Europe and found them to have poor to fair performance on 800 MHz and most failed to transfer any appreciable signal on 1900 MHz. Even antennas made in the USA by reputable companies are very poor on 1900 MHz as shown by the test reports on the back of our brochures and web site.![]()

Wilson Amplifiers

Wilson cellular phone amplifiers significantly extend signal range and improve voice and data quality for all types of cell phones and cellular data cards in both mobile and in-building cellular repeater applications. Designed by Wilson’s experienced engineers, these amplifiers feature ultra sensitive receivers and superior transmitters that boost cellular signals and improve data communication rates while protecting carrier cell sites from harmful interference. Used in conjunction with the company’s high-performance inside and outside antennas, these amplifiers solve the vast majority of cellular communication problems such as drop-outs, dead zones and disconnects. Wilson offers a variety of models in both wireless and direct-connection configurations.
Wireless Amplifier Operation
Wilson’s mobile and in-building wireless amplifiers offer reliable cellular signal improvement with the convenience of no physical connection to the cell phone or cellular data card. And, multiple devices can be used simultaneously. The signal is received by the outside antenna from the cell site. It is then amplified and transmitted to the cell phone or cellular data card through the inside antenna. When the phone or data card transmits, the signal is received by the inside antenna, boosted by the amplifier and transmitted to the cell site through the outside antenna. Direct Connection Amplifier Operation. With a mobile or in-building direct connection amplifier, the signal from the cell site is received by the outside antenna, then amplified and passed on directly to the cell phone or data card through the attached adapter. When the phone or data card transmits, the signal is sent to the amplifier through the adapter then amplified and sent to the cell site through the outside antenna.
Wilson Electronics Amplifier Warranty
