Voice Control

The BlueAnt Q1 is equipped with simple and easy to remember voice commands that put you in control. You no longer need to remember complicated button combinations or even look at your phone: just say one of the voice commands and the Q1 responds. It's that simple. Unlike other headsets that only support voice dial capabilities through the mobile phone's voice features, voice control is embedded in the Q1 headset itself. When you want to do something, just click the BlueAnt button and wait for the Q1 to ask you to "Say a Command". Then say the voice command you want, loudly and clearly, and the headset will obey. As well as being able to make calls, you can use your voice to check and change your Q1's settings, find out if you are connected to your phone, and even enter pairing mode. And if you get stuck, just ask the Q1 "What Can I Say?" and the Q1 will read out a list of available voice commands. There is also a "Teach Me" command that guides you through all the Q1's functions.

Noise Reduction Technology

The Q1 Reduces Background and Wind Interference in Noisy Environments The BlueAnt Q1 has been designed to reduce background and wind interference in noisy environments. The Q1 software constantly monitors and removes background noise during your call, and the Q1's custom-designed internal wind shields reduce wind noise from a roar to a whisper. The patented technology prevents wind from interfering with your conversation, allowing you to talk naturally in a windy environment. If you find yourself talking in a very noisy or windy environment, simply click the BlueAnt button during the call to switch between standard and maximum voice isolation and noise reduction settings. * Standard voice isolation mode gives you a natural sounding voice while removing mild background noise. * Maximum voice isolation mode reduces nearly all background noise without affecting the quality of your voice to give you high levels of voice intelligibility in very noisy environments.

"True" Multipoint Technology

Multipoint technology means that you can connect two phones to the Q1 at the same time and answer whichever one rings. For example if you have a business phone and a personal phone you can connect them both to the Q1 at the same time. The BlueAnt Q1 supports "true" multipoint technology: although other headset makers claim to support multipoint, most other headsets in the market today actually disconnect the second phone when you are on a call on your headset. This means that if you receive a call on your other phone while you are already on a call you will have to answer that call using the phone handset. With the BlueAnt Q1 both phones remain connected even when you are on a call. If you get a call on your other phone you can use the Q1 to put your active call on hold and answer your other phone (just hold down the "Vol +" button for one second). If you want to put the second call on hold and swap back to the first call on the other phone, just hold down the "Vol +" button again. You can keep swapping between calls and phones as many times as you like.

Turn the Q1 on for the first time and BlueAnt's embedded audio Quick Start Guide will explain how to pair it with your phone so that you can get set up quickly and easily and get on with making calls. Voice Answer The Q1's advanced voice control doesn't stop when the phone rings. Answering a call is as simple as saying the word "Answer". Simply wait for the Q1 to ask you if you want to take the call and then say the word. It's that simple. If you don't want to take the call, just say "Ignore". You can also answer or ignore a call using the BlueAnt button. Simply click once to answer the call, or double click to ignore.
