WiFi USB Antenna Base

This high-powered USB Wi-Fi adapter module provides wireless network connection to any computer using Windows Apple Mac or Linux operating system. Based on the highly usable Realtek RTL-8187L chipset, it provides over 6 times the output wattage of most internal 30-50mW radios!

The unique wifi signal booster design of this unit features extra long 9 foot USB cable and a base which serves as a great platform for the larger rubber flex antennas. No more tipping over or falling off your desk, this adapter/base will hold the antenna centered!

Add wireless networking to your PC, or just increase your range by disabling the internal radio and plugging this card to your USB port and installing the drivers. Enjoy compact size, 24” USB data cable and the advantage of an external antenna. Simple solution for a major range boost for wireless networking using the very popular Realtek 8187L chipset.

Features

This 360mW WI-FI signal booster card is great for desktop users. Sleek and compact, this unit is no bigger than most antennas that you would use it with! Using any of our wifi antennas, this unit greatly outperforms the 40mW radio in most laptops and desktops. The internal laptop antenna suffers from the losses of a 6" to12” length of thin coaxial cable. We estimate the real performance of such a built-in antenna system at -5 dBi. That’s a whopping 80% less signal (based on gain alone) compared to the smallest antenna you would use with this external USB WiFi adapter. Consider also, that our 360mW card transmits approximately 6 times the signal power of the internal card and you can quickly realize what this little card can do for your wireless operation!

New Possibilities!

When you have an external antenna port on your high powered wifi adapter, the possibilities are endless!
For the sake of simplicity, just attach a low-cost, low gain omni-direcitonal antenna for normal use.
For greater range, try a high gain omni-directional antenna.
For even longer distances and a cleaner signal, use a high gain directional antenna and point it at the access point you are trying reach. (our mini panel will stand on top of the base for neat, easy, long-range setup!)
If you use your PC in an area where the signal is blocked (such as behind a metal or concrete wall), just use a USB extension cable to get your adapter into the area with good signal!
